10 years have passed since those terrible attacks of 2015 that bloodied and shocked Paris, France, Europe and the whole world.
To not forget and remember the drama and horror of terrorism, never to lower your guard here is my article from 2016 that talks about the attacks that have disrupted the lives of all of us.
“Once again, after the massacres of Charlie Hebdo and Bataclan, terrorism returns to the city to disrupt everyone’s lives, to leave us speechless in front of so much cruelty. Paris is so beautiful, cosmopolitan, cheerful but at the same time austere, transgressive and out of the ordinary for some, welcoming and full of opportunities for those who know how to seize them….
Now? When will a real anti-terrorism strategy be agreed at global or at least European level? We can’t afford more victims and more terror.”
A sad but useful reflection, because we no longer want pain in our cities.
Because freedom of expression cannot be erased.
