“Today, on Women’s Day, best wishes to all of us women who fight every day for equal opportunities, equal rights, and against the violence and genital mutilation that are still common practice in many countries around the world.
While many still try to deny it today, in 2017, we women are the true pillars of society because we shoulder the burden of so many different responsibilities in different roles without a moment’s respite: work, caring for the house and children, cleaning, buying and preparing food, and much more. It is always us women who struggle every day against the prejudices that want us to be submissive, shy, subjected to male authority, forced to follow unsolicited advice given by those who only want to make us wrong and demoralize us.
But even though everyone always tries to put a spoke in our wheels, we are always Women and we never give up because we know we are stronger than life’s adversities!!!
Best wishes to all of us, wonderful and special, simply Women!!!”
So I was writing for the Women’s Day of far, far away 2017. What now?
Unfortunately, discrimination and killing for that ugly beast that is jealousy remain. We women need to know everything and well, and there is never anyone who values and listens to us. No one is by our side when someone hurts us, no one helps us when we suffer abuse and discrimination.
In some parts of the world, being free is still a dream for women, and it won’t come true so easily. Women who find their doors slammed in their faces every single day are everywhere, yet we must always be kind and sweet, otherwise we are confined as if we were contagious.
Now with all the wars that exist we try hard to protect our loved ones and seek safe shelter, perhaps away from home, to allow our children to live a peaceful and peaceful life without the nagging and fear of bombs.
March 8th is now upon us, but this year it is ruined by the many thoughts that haunt us about security, the future, the war that seems to be advancing more and more every day. We know that the world is increasingly dangerous and inhospitable, we know that we must think about defending ourselves before it is too late.
No, it’s not going to be a nice March 8th. However, we women look forward and hope that the world will change, but sometimes it is really hard to be optimistic. But despite everything we try not to get down and never give up, so best wishes to all of us, Women.
