It’s been two years since 276 Nigerian high school students were kidnapped by Boko Haram Islamist organization while they were following the lessons in their classrooms. Since then nothing more has been heard of them, but we can only imagine all the atrocities to which they were subjected by their captors, men senzascrupoli and without any mercy.
This short post wants to remember them all and be a warning to continue the struggle for girls ‘ education, which still too often is denied and underestimated.
I want to conclude with the phrase finest Nobel Peace Prize winner and activist for girls ‘ education Malala Yousafzai: “one child, one book and a pen can change the world”.
