Having a reading corner…
A corner to listen to your thoughts…
A corner to find the privacy and silence that in the contemporary world always connected we have now lost…
Who wouldn’t like it? I sure would.
And it’s not that hard to have a little reading corner. In a previous article of this blog I left you useful links that explained how to create the perfect reading corner in all the rooms of the house, from the living room to the bathroom, from the basement to the attic.
Because having a reading corner also means having a quiet place to think and put in order among the many things that every day we rummage in tension, work, children, partners, shopping, accounts, …. Putting your ideas in order is important and it is worth at least every now and then to have a corner where you can hide to stay a bit ‘quiet.
Of course it’s nice to always be connected and to know new people who live so far away from us, but every now and then we have to disconnect and re-enter our human and most authentic dimension, where we can and must be ourselves without the filters of social networks or Photoshop.
For me reading is freedom to be at peace with myself. And for you? Let me know in the comments, I expect you numerous.
